We are a project that commercializes different wine brands from the D.O.P Jumilla (Spain).
Different wines, excellent taste
At Finca La Solana we work with eleven different wine brands ready to please the most exclusive and demanding winelovers around the world.
With the clear objective of creating quality wines, our cradle is located in the D.O.P Jumilla, in the southeast of Spain,
A place with a warm, Mediterranean climate and a winemaking tradition of more than 200 years.
Monastrell: the grape that defines us
Even though there are almost 20 grape varieties approved by the D.O.P Jumilla, the Monastrell is the most significant and it represents over 85% of the vines planted in Jumilla.
To find the origins of the Monastrell we should go back to the 15th century and, it is believed, to the Valencian town of Sagunto. Some time later, it arrived in southern France, known under the name of Mouvedre.
The Monastrell wines are defined by powerful aromas, in which we find notes of ripe and black fruits, with a distinctive purple red color.
